An Easy Way to Validate Content Ideas

I feel your pain. None of us what to waste our time. We want to know that we are creating the right content, but we also want to actualize what our instincts tell us to create. There is a quick 3 step process to validate your content ideas.

We just never know if we are creating the "right" content. We have an idea, and we want to create around it.

Creators know that they should do keyword research. Not everyone truly knows how to do it because that takes time.

It takes time to find the keyword research tools. It takes time to do the research.

So what is a person to do?

How To Quickly Validate Content Ideas

  1. Have an idea
  2. Go to Moz and use their keyword Explorer tool
  3. Do a Google Search

Ok so let's break that down.

1. Have an idea

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but my one tip is to stay on topic. If your blog is about a different idea every single day or week, it will be challenging to rank ever.

Pro Tip: Pick a niche and stick to it

2. The Free Moz keyword tool

Now Moz has pro SEO tools https://moz.com/explorer, and they are fantastic. I am a paying member. However, you can also create a free account and get ten free keyword searches a month. You will need to create an account, but this tool is well worth it.

Note: You only get ten free searches a month, so use them wisely.

3. Do a Google Search

This search is a critical step because you need to do two things here. First, you need to make sure that others are also talking about this. The second factor is that you should take a peek at what others are saying. Always make sure that you are on topic with others unless of course, you want to be a rebel and disagree with the universe. That is a fun way to create content too.

This process shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes.

How do you validate your ideas? What questions do you have about this process?
